Mining Matters
This page is intended as a resource for those who wish to take out a mining licence over an area of 5 hectares or less in the state of Victoria.
It is intended that over time all the relevant information & application forms will be able to be sourced from this page. As the mining industry in Victoria is constantly changing, this page and the information contained in it is by no means complete & will always remain a work in progress.
Indigenous Land Use Agreement ( ILUA )
The PMAV in conjunction with Native Title Services Victoria Ltd have negotiated an ILUA in regard to small scale mining tenements applied for within the traditional lands of the Dja Dja Wurrung people of Central Victoria.
Anyone wishing to make use of this ILUA is encouraged to support the PMAV by joining. You can join online here.
The ILUA can be downloaded by clicking here, Be aware that the document size is quite large (3.8mb) and on connection speeds of less than 512kbs will take some time to download.
An Implementation Guide that will take you step by step through the ILUA process is available for download by clicking here.
